Brownfields

Blighted property is an eyesore to the community as well as a loss of tax revenue and jobs. Many of these sites have redevelopment potential – if only there was a way to address the contamination left from past operations. Now through public private partnerships there is a way in which private companies can team with the state and federal governments and municipalities to create a win – win situation. Increasing amounts of public money is being made available to rehabilitate these properties and property owners need to take advantage of this opportunity. The Redstone Group along with its partner companies knows how to work with local governments, regulators, communities, investors, and end users to reclaim and develop these sites. Let us help you turn these environmental liabilities into business opportunities.

Liability Transfer

To the novice it is hard to grasp and to the experienced it is hard to believe. Liability transfer or long-term operating and maintenance for remediation sites is here today. Liability transfer provides a way for a third party to assume all relevant legal and administrative responsibilities for pre-existing environmental contamination. It can also be tailored to provide coverage for unknown future liabilities such as tort and natural resource damages. Liability transfer will lock in clean up cost, lock out regulatory changes and inflation risks and it will eliminate ongoing burdens and cost of managing the remediation of the environmental liability.

Benefits:

  • Minimizes The Uncertainties of Future, Long-Term Clean Up Obligations
  • Provides For Financial Assurance For Future Clean Up Obligations
  • Shifts All Financial Risks For Pre-Existing Contamination To A Triple A Rated Insurer
  • Satisfies Emerging Disclosure Obligations
